BIOGRAPHIE

Jonas Grimås (Filmmaker) is a Swedish director, writer and producer based in London. He won a BAFTA for his film The Artist and was nominated again for the film Marooned. He has directed over a hundred hours of prime time drama and documentaries for BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and SVT including Silent Witness, Wallander, Hamish Macbeth, Hope and Glory and Heartbeat to name but a few. Named Cultural Personality of the Year by Stockholm Cultural Awards in 2011 he combines his directing career with being a lecturer and course leader at the London Film School and the Met Film School. He has written and co-written numerous screenplays and published a book on directing.
