Chen-Hsi is an independent filmmaker. Her first job was as an assistant for Emmy award-winning producer, Roger Weisberg, in New York. After working on two Oscar nominated documentaries, she discovered her love for filmmaking and subsequently received her MFA from USC’s School of the Cinematic Arts. Her thesis film, “Who Loves the Sun”, premiered at the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival. After graduation, Chen-Hsi was a Project:Involve directing fellow at Film Independent in Los Angeles, where she mentored with writer-director Neil Labute. She is currently developing her first fiction feature film, as well as a feature documentary.
