BIOGRAPHIE

Born in Madrid Spain (1975), Luis obtained his Bachelor of Art in Film Production from New York University in 2001 and further his studies at University of Southern California which lead him to work with legendary producer Roger Corman as an editor and director assistant. He set up Mudbath Films Production in 2004. His film "Passengers," "L.A. Joy,¨ and “A propos de America¨ has been selected by many prestigious international film festivals for their programs. L.A. Joy” won the Buenos Aires Latino Film Festival and the Visual 04 (Madrid) awards. His film "Passengers" was shortlisted in the "Documentary-Short Subject” category for the 2003 Academy Awards, and was also selected along with "L.A. Joy" for screening at the Reina Sofia Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid. These pieces are proof of his unique narrative style in storytelling. Without recurring to language, Luis captures the inner feelings of his characters by concentrating on the facial expressions. Luis currently lives in Beijing, China.
