BIOGRAPHIE

Chloë de Carvalho is a Brazilian/British filmmaker. Chloë was born and grew up in Rio de Janeiro, lived all over the place, before settling in London for a good chunk of time where she worked as a production manager and then producer. She attended the London Film School, specializing in directing. Her commercial work as director has been featured in Shots Magazine, Campaign Brief, ID and exhibited at the Design Museum and the ICA in London. Her short films have been screened at international festivals (Festival Internacional de Curtas de São Paulo, Libertas Film Festival Dubrovnick, etc) She was invited to attend the Filmmaker’s Lab and Pitching Sessions at the Toei Studios in Japan and in 2018 was awarded the year-long development fund PRODAV4 by the Brazilian federal film funding body, ANCINE, to develop a feature film project. Chloë is currently working towards a PHD at the University of Edinburgh while freelancing and making films
