BIOGRAPHIE

Laetitia Spigarelli directed her first film, August (Août), in 2018, a short film about the wanderings in Paris during August of a young woman who looks after the cats of people on vacation. The film was presented at Côté Court festival in Pantin (competition), at Un Festival C'est Trop Court in Nice ("L'Heure du Doc" section), at Cinemística festival in Granada and at Les Inrocks carte blanche at L’Entrepôt (Paris). Sainte Baume is her second film. It received two awards at the Côté Court festival in Pantin 2021 where it was presented in competition: the acting award for Pauline Lorillard and the emerging producer award for Les Films de la Nuit. In January 2022, the Cinémathèque Française will show Sainte Baume in the cycle "Aujourd'hui le Cinéma", with Valéria Bruni-Tedeschi's film, The Summer House (Les Estivants).
