BIOGRAPHIE

Andrew McVicar is a writer & director based in North Shields. His shorts have screened at festivals including London, Edinburgh, Oberhausen, Hamburg, Encounters, Brest, Krakow and others. His last short film Compulsion won Best British Short at London Short Film Festival and Best European Short at Lille. He’s produced/co-produced features including Duane Hopkins’ Bypass and Esther May Campbell’s Light Years both of which premiered at Venice Film Festival. He’s currently in post production on two short films for release in early 2022, and developing feature film and TV projects with partners including BFI, Good Chaos, Shudder Films and Company Pictures.
