Mirjam Orthen

BIOGRAPHIE

Mirjam Orthen was born in Dachau (DE) in 1984. She did her first film internship at the age of 17 on the set of a TV-drama series directed by Michael Verhoeven. After graduating from high school in 2004, she worked as a production assistant for Sven Burgermeister and Christoph Müller at Goldkind Film and later for Helmut Dietl at Diana Film. From 2007 to 2015 she studied fiction directing at the University of Television and Film Munich. Her student films Father Language, We Have A Mission and ADA have been shown worldwide at international film festivals and awarded with renowned prizes. In 2016/17 she was a scholar at DrehbuchWerkstatt München. Recently she has completed a new short film, A Fine Line, and Taxim. She is currently working as part time faculty at the University of Television and Film Munich and is writing her own feature film projects.
