Jorge Ávalos

BIOGRAPHIE

Born in El Salvador (1964), Jorge Ávalos is an award winning writer and theatre director, known for his flair for the fantastic as a tool for the exploration of social themes. As a story teller he is the author of: La ciudad del deseo (2004) y El secreto del ángel (2012). As a playwright he is the author and director of La balada de Jimmy Rosa (2009), a police procedural on human trafficking, and La canción de nuestros días (2015), a play on the life of a witness to a war massacre in El Salvador.
