BIOGRAPHIE

Scriptwriter, director, producer France Yassine Qnia grew up in Aubervilliers in the department of Seine-Saint-Denis. A surveyor-topographer by training, he discovered cinema at the homes of the young people in his town where he helped make several workshop films. His first three short films were selected at numerous festivals, winning a host of awards both in France (at Angers, Pantin, La Rochelle and Clermont-Ferrand, among others) and abroad (Milan, Kiev, Istanbul, IndieLisboa, to name only a few). In addition to his film activities, he continues to work as a surveyor and regularly participates in image workshops in middle and high schools.
