BIOGRAPHIE

Sandrine détient un BAC en cinéma de l’Université Concordia, une maîtrise en jeu de l’Université des Arts de Londres et un certificat professionnel en écriture de long métrage de L’INIS. Durant ses études, elle a eu la chance de performer au Shakespeare Globe à Londre et au Vakthangov theater à Moscou. Son parcours musical (violoncelle, piano, chant) l’a aussi amené à composer la musique de certain de ses films. Après ses études, Sandrine a scénarisé et réalisé plus de 15 courts-métrages et 1 long métrage, l’amenant à récolter des prix et des nominations importantes tels l’Ours de Cristal à Berlinale, le Grand Prix Canadien (prix la qualifiant aux Oscars) à Festival Regard, un IRIS, ainsi que deux nominations aux Prix Écrans Canadiens 2020, une sélection au TIFF et au Canada TOP10. Sandrine se consacre présentement à l’écriture de ses prochains longs métrages LES ÉPHÉMÈRES et NOÉMIE LA NUIT. -- Sandrine Brodeur-Desrosiers holds a BFA in Film Production from Concordia University and an MFA in Acting from the Drama Center London (UAL) and a professional certificate in Feature writing from L’INIS. During her studies, she had the chance to perform at the Shakespeare Globe in London and The Vakthangov theatre in Moscow. Sandrine has performed music since primary school (cello and signing) and sometimes she composes scores for her films. Sandrine wrote and directed over 15 short films and 1 feature that were screened in different festivals around the world. She won several prizes such as the Crystal Bear at the Berlinale, the Grand Prix Canadian at Regard (Oscars qualifying prize), 2 nominations at the Canadian Screen Awards, selection at TIFF, Canada TOP10, and many more. Sandrine is now writing her next features, LES ÉPHÉMÈRES and NOÉMIE LA NUIT.
