Per-Josef Idivuoma is born and raised in the village of Idivuoma in northern Sweden, and grew up in the woods. He was raised in a reindeerhurding family, and has a close relationship with both his family and the culture. Idivuoma’s close relationship to the reindeerhurding traditions, can be seen in his creativity as he puts the sami values, morality and lifestyle in his movies. Per-Josef expresses himself best in humoristic styles, such as parodies, and he always has a bright and humoristic side to everything in life. If a story doesn’t have any humour in it, it’s not worth telling according to Per-Josef. Per-Josef Idivuoma has an bachelors degree in Sami Journalism, and since 2001 he worked at the Samiradio, but in 2010 he quit his job to start making movies AND HAS SINCE EDUCATED HIMSELF AT NEW YORK FILM ACADEMY AND FILMPRODUCER IN NORWAY. His biggest hope is to make a sami actioncomedy in the future, but first he has to make shortmovies of his twenty- something ideas. Idivuoma’s HAS SINCE HIS DEBUT IN 2007 WITH THE DOCUMENTARY ”CALMMIS CALBMAI” MADE 8 SHORTS SCREENED ALL OVER THE WORLD, WORKED ON TV PRODUCTIONS AS WRITER, POST SUPERVISOR AND GRAPhical artist, AMONG ALL OTHER ROLES.
