BIOGRAPHIE

Kote Camacho (Oiartzun, Basque Country, 1980) is a member of the European Film Academy (EFA), distinction obtained with La Gran Carrera (2010), an impressive film which obtained 72 international awards. With the multi-awarded Elkartea (2013), he introduced for the first time a Basque language film in festivals like Clermont-Ferrand. He is part of a Basque artist team responsible of also multi-awarded animation films Beti Bezperako Koplak (2016) and Areka (2017). Graduated in Fine Arts when he was cartoonist in Napartheid, he began his career in Madrid as a storyboard artist for Basque director Julio Medem, and continued in London for Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and Alex Carland, at DNA Films. Since 2004 he settled back in the Basque Country and focused on his own artistic an independent film production.
