Dustin Brown founded the social-impact production company Dustin Todd Films at the age of 18. He is a writer, director, and film editor with a passion for telling character-driven, socially conscious stories. Dustin is a graduate of the American Film Institute Directing Program. His short film SOLIDARITY was a Cannes/BAFTA/Clermont-Ferrand Official Selection and won numerous awards including Best Short Film at the San Diego Film Festival, Best Short Santa Monica Film Festival, and winner of the Kodak Student Film Scholarship. His AFI thesis film CLARITY, a thought-provoking sci-fi thriller, was featured by Film Independent and won the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Award for a film that “accurately and positively portrays science and technology” – and was distributed by The CG Bros. Dustin wrote, directed, and edited the viral animal rights short CASA DE CARNE which received over 10 million views online and won 6 Telly Awards including Gold for “Social Responsibility”. He recently collaborated with the Humane Society and Fur Free Alliance on the anti-fur ad HIDE starring Mena Suvari and feat. music by Billie Eilish. Currently, he is in production on the narrative feature film SOLIDARITY, which was selected for the 2021 Works in Progress Event at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.
