Elcid is an award winning director and writer. His films range bold subject matters and distinctive styles, often with underlying themes of social justice and a stylistic tendency for urban fantasy, magical realism and fantastical genres. Elcid followed an MA in Film Theory at UCL with a spell in freelance journalism and photography, before deciding to put his passion for visual storytelling into practice. His filmmaking debut, the short documentary called 'Revolutionary Roads' (2010), premiered at Sheffield Doc/Fest and went on to win the Current TV Short Cuts prize. Elcid has since gone on to create a number of visually striking and award-winning short films, including 'PIRANHA' (2014) and 'UNSKIN' (2018), with each project successively more ambitious and a prelude to his ongoing journey towards his debut feature film.
