BIOGRAPHIE

A Brazilian-born filmmaker, Tiago Gerbasi worked for ten years in the banking sector before deciding to reorient his career toward cinema, his real passion. He studied film in São Paulo, where he directed the student short Só Um as his completion project. Based in Montreal since 2012, he continued his studies in Canada and began his career directing documentaries for local television channels and various web content. In his creative practice, he is interested in social movies and minimalist realism. Avant l’aurore (Before the Dawn) is his first fictional short film.
