Ainara Vera is a Spanish filmmaker and editor. Her filmmaking journey began with the premiere of her first documentary short film, Sertres, which debuted in the official selection of the Locarno Film Festival in 2014. Following this, her hour-long documentary See You Tomorrow, God Willing! was selected for competition at IDFA in 2017 and has since travelled the globe. Ainara's debut documentary feature film, Polaris, made its world premiere in the 2022 Cannes ACID showcase to critical acclaim. Since then, Polaris has travelled extensively, captivating audiences at renowned festivals such as Camden International Film Festival, Hot Docs, the Marrakech Film Festival, the Seville European Film Festival, IDFA and the Trento Film Festival, among others. Additionally, the film has been distributed in over 30 cinemas across France and is available on major online platforms in the country.
