BIOGRAPHIE

Giuseppe Eugenio Morina was born on January 7th 1975 in Catania (Sicily). He was just a little boy as he already loved the silver screen, which contains emotions, freedom and expression. As he was 12 he moved to Pisticci, a small village in Basilicata; the natural beauties of these place are his inspiration. He graduates as commercial expert but his greatest love is the cinema. In the meantime he moves with the enthusiasm of a child who gets a new toy his first steps through this enchanted world. He writes scripts, participates at workshops, works together with different artists, realises music videoclips making his debut as director and being in charge of the post production; In the same time he gets more in touch with cinematographic techniques and advanced vfx such as 3d and matte painting. In the small but vivid village he realises his first work in 2014: “Like a butterflywings” that he supposes to be the key that opens the door to this fantastic world. Since its beginning this short film is characterized by positive feedback and receives its first recognitions and prizes in different festivals.During the winter of 2015 he writes and realises his second work: the colour of dreams; this work emphasizes “all the beauties” of the place that adopted him, the landscapes and passionate spirits of the people. The people who live here are central in the message of this movie: “believe in dreams!”. At the moment he is working on the script for a full-length film. Giuseppe Eugenio Morinanasce il 07 gennaio 1975 a Catania. Fin da giovanissimo ama il grande schermo, contenitore di emozioni, di libertà e di espressione. All’età di dodici anni si trasferisce a Pisticci, piccolo comune della Basilicata; sono le bellezze naturali di questi luoghi la sua musa ispiratrice. Si diploma come perito commerciale, ma il suo più grande amore è il cinema, Nel frattempo muove i primi passi in questo mondo incantato “con l’entusiasmo di un bambino davanti a un giocattolo nuovo”. Scrive sceneggiature, partecipa a workshop, collabora con vari artisti,realizza videoclip musicali esordendo come direttore e curandone la post produzione; nello stesso tempo si addentra sempre più nelle tecniche cinematografiche e di vfx avanzate quali il 3D e matte painting. Nel piccolissimo ma vivace paesino,realizza nel 2014 la sua prima opera: “Like a butterflywings”che ritiene essere la chiave che apre la porta di questo fantastico mondo. Questo cortometraggio sin dall’inizio riceve ottimi riscontri e ottiene i suoi primi riconoscimenti in vari festival. Nell’inverno del 2015 scrive e realizza il suo secondo lavoro: “Ilcolore dei sogni”; quest’ opera mette ampiamente in risalto “tutte le bellezze” della “sua” terra d’adozione, dai paesaggi ai calorosi animi della gente. Sono proprio le persone che qui ci abitano l’emblema del messaggio di questo lavoro: “bisogna credere nei sogni”! In questo momento lavora alla stesura del suo primo lungometraggio.
