Eliza Soroga

BIOGRAPHIE

Eliza is a performance artist and documentary filmmaker from Athens, Greece. Her work is an attempt to explore the dialogue between everyday life and Performance. Eliza was awarded as the Overall Winner in Performance & Video Art section of the 11th International Arte Laguna Prize held in Venice (2017). Awarded from ‘ARTWORKS’ Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Artist Fellowship Program. Her work has been commissioned by the Ministry of Culture (Greece), ZAO EXPO'22 | 蔵王町, Mount Zao, Miyagi, Japan (2022), City of Athens (2019), Athens & Epidaurus Festival (2018), Arts Council England (2013-2017), British Council Newton Grant (2017), the French Institute (2010) and many more. Her live performances & video art works have been shown at V&A Museum (London), Royal Scottish Academy of Art and Architecture (Edinburgh), Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space (Prague), 3331 Arts Chiyoda (Tokyo), National Museum of Contemporary Art Athens (EMST), MOMus-Museum of Contemporary Art, Battersea Arts Centre (London) and many more.
