BIOGRAPHIE

Helene Moltke-Leth is an artist, DJ and an international award-winning film director. She has received 9 international awards, and her work has been screened at over 40 film, art and poetry festivals around the world. With an interdisciplinary approach in life and art, internationally acclaimed film director, artist, and DJ, Helene Moltke-Leth cannot be limited to one artistic medium. From film and photography to music to fine art, her works present a strong visual language, a poetic and rhythmic sensibility and an analytical grasp on modern society and culture. Over the last two decades she has earned recognition for her poetic and artistic pieces, documentary films, television, and radio productions, as well as her involvement in the early days of Copenhagen’s electronic music scene- pioneering as one of the city’s first female DJs. In recent years, Helene has immersed herself in a juncture of the cinematic and poetic worlds, resulting in several short films that speak to the powerful marriage of text, visuals, and sound. Her works are filled with impressions – they are an unambiguous ex-pression of context, all the while maintaining intimate subjective reflections at their core. Helene Moltke-Leth lives and works in Copenhagen where she was educated at the National Film School of Denmark.
