Patrik Eklund was born in 1978 in the small city Arvidsjaur in the north of Sweden. He made his directorial debut in 2003 with the prize-winning “One Christmas morning”. With the films “Situation Frank” (2007), “Instead of Abracadabra” (2008) and “Seeds of the fall” (2009) Patrik established himself as one of the world’s most successful directors of short films, which lead to participations- and prizes at big prestigious film festivals like Sundance and Cannes. In 2010 he was even nominated for an Academy Award and in 2012 his first feature “Flicker” hit the theatres. In recent years Patrik has mostly directed TV-series like “We got this” (2020), “Revenge” (2019) and “The Brokers” (2021). He currently lives in Stockholm where he runs his production company Framestation and writes and directs commercials and different types of fiction.
