Alexis Patton

BIOGRAPHIE

Born to American parents and raised abroad, Alexis Patton is an award-winning director, writer, cinematographer and actor. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Princeton University with an A.B. in Romance Languages and Literatures and a Certificate in the Program of Theatre and Dance. She was awarded the Frances LeMoyne Page Thesis Prize. Most recently, she was named a Finalist for the Television Academy Internship Program. This summer she has won a fellowship with the SDG Leadership Academy to work for the Office of the Mayor of Los Angeles, Eric Garcetti, in a remarkable academic-city partnership. This Spring she has had the privilege of Associate Producing two comedy specials which are being marketed for distribution to national and international streaming platforms and broadcast networks. Her films have been official selections and screened at twenty-six film festivals nationally and internationally. She has won a “Rising Star” Award, a “Best Unspoken” Award, a “Best Black & White Film” Award, a “Best Woman Cinematographer” Award, a Bronze REMI Award, and an “Honorable Mention – Documentary” Award. Her films have been nominated for nine other awards, including “Best Short,” “Best Directing,” “Best Writing,” “Best Sound Mixing,” “Best Sound Editing,” “Best Visual Effects,” “Best Actor in a Leading Role,” “Best Actor in a Supporting Role,” and “Best Makeup & Hairstyling.” National and regional newspapers and magazines have published her writing. As a member of AEA, SAG and AFTRA, she worked extensively as an actress on the East Coast. Her work as a photographer has been exhibited in numerous juried shows in Washington, D.C., including the Corcoran Gallery of Art. Currently, she is a M.F.A. candidate in Film & TV Production at the University of Southern California where she has directed and produced six short films. She is the recipient of a Gene Autry Scholarship Award.
