BIOGRAPHIE

Kate is a BAFTA and RTS winning director and has also won the Prix Danube and over 40 quality awards for her short films. She was lead director on Outlander; directing the Season 6, 90-minute premiere and the following 80-minute episode. In addition, she has directed the Mallorca Files, Doc Martin, Bramwell and was lead director on Call the Midwife. She has also directed many other series such as The Bill and Casualty the entire series of Pig Heart Boy by Malorie Blackman. She has won the RTS and for Scene, and been nominated for a series about War Poetry with Sam West, Alex Jennings and Tom Hollander. Kate’s directed big budget material, as well as low. And has returned to shorts because of her love of film. She has recently finished a short film with Elen Rhys and Brian Bovell, collaborating with the same writer as “What Happened to Evie”, which won Best International Short at Galway Film Fleadh, San Jose and many others. It was also screened for the UN Women’s Orange the World Campaign. Meanwhile, she’s been developing several feature films including a British heist movie with Bigscope and a romcom with a New York producer. In addition, she’s written and will direct her own Faustian comedy drama which has been optioned by a UK producer and will be exec’d by Mark Foligno.
