Matteo Faccenda

BIOGRAPHIE

Born in Rome, 01-12-1984. Graduated from La Sapienza University of Rome, Arts and Sciences of Performing Arts, Film Curriculum. Graduated from the Script course TRACCE S.N.C. Degree in Editing from EICTV (International School of Film and Television 2014-2017, Cuba). A freelance photographer, he made reports in Africa (2007-2009) on the struggle of the Saharawi people, on the homeless in Rome (2010), on the protests of the 15M Movement in Madrid (2011). In 2012 he traveled to Asia for 4 months, making a documentary about the traditions and spiritual places of the continent (Russia, Mongolia, China, Nepal and India). In 2013 he participated in a crossing of the Atlantic Ocean on a sailboat with a family of sailors, documenting life on board. In 2019 he finished filming a documentary about transition process from woman to man of Stefano, which lasted 7 years of shooting. From 2014 until today he lived between Rome and Havana, where he worked as an editor, director and producer. In 2018 he participates in the Guadalajara Talents event in Mexico in collaboration with Berlinale-Talents In 2020 he founded his production company CORALMENTE FILM. Currently in preparation of his first fiction feature film set in Havana EL TRONO DEL REY, in collaboration with IMAKONOS & GARDEN FILM.
