Derin Emre is a writer and filmmaker, whose work concerns the many facets of displacement, globalization, and the individual. Born in Istanbul, he has graduated from New York University with a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Comparative Literature. Soon after, he co-founded Yes Theory in Montréal, a media brand with more than 8 million followers on YouTube. Currently he works on essay films and narrative fiction, using both esoteric and mainstream references, to cast an analytical eye to the changing world.
