BIOGRAPHIE

Mohammadreza Mayghani is an Iranian filmmaker with a Master's degree in Dramatic Literature. In 2021, his debut short film ORTHODONTICS, inspired by his childhood orthodontic experience, premiered in the Short Films Competition at the Festival de Cannes and screened at Sundance, among other festivals. In 2025, his second short film YO YO, premieres at Locarno in Pardi di Domani International Competition. Mayghani took part in Cannes' La Résidence, where his first feature project, DIBA, won the Best Pitching Award. Following this, he also participated in the Locarno Film Academy in 2023.
