After working as a fine artist exhibiting video art and photography in national galleries such as the Royal Scottish Academy, I transitioned to film, working with some of the most progressive artists in modern music. My music video work has attracted over 30 million views, Vimeo staff picks and Gold Fresh awards. My first film “Not Required Back” premiered at the BFI London Film Festival and screened internationally at festivals like British Shorts in Berlin and Glasgow Short Film Festival. The film received great critical attention and was described as ‘reminiscent of a young David Lynch’ by Tony McKibbon and ‘captivating, haunting & transporting’ by Eye For Film. Mark Cousins described “Not Required Back” as his favourite short film from that year. My narrative music short “ASDW” won the award for narrative film at the Fresh awards, while my abstract work ‘Some Other Guy’ premiered as part of the Nowness ‘Director’s Cuts’ series alongside directors such as Lynne Ramsay, Jonas Mekas and Daniel Wolfe. My films have premiered on Rolling Stone, Vogue, Dazed and Confused and been placed on numerous ‘best of’ lists including Pitchfork’s ’20 best of the year’.
