BIOGRAPHIE

Born on the 7th of May 1987 in Savognin (Switzerland). Gian Suhner studied history and sociology in Basel and Madrid, and was working as an assistant and project manager for documentary films and exhibitions. In 2015, he started studying directing at the German Film and Television Academy (dffb) in Berlin. His shorts have been played on numerous festivals in Germany and abroad and won the Jury Prize at the Transatlantyk Film Festival in Lodz and the audience award at the FSFF in Bavaria. Currently he’s shooting a documentary exhibition project in North and South Korea and developing his prediploma film at the dffb.
