BIOGRAPHIE

Esther Niemeier is a Berlin-based writer and director. She studied Film & Video at the University of the Arts London and Latin American Studies at the University of London. Her BA graduation film "WALZ" was screened at festivals across Europe and broadcast on television. After nine years in London, she moved to Berlin via Buenos Aires and completed an MA in Documentary Directing at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. Her animated documentary "TRACING ADDAI" was shown at over 80 festivals, won 20 awards, and was nominated for the 2018 Student Academy Award and an Emmy®. She is currently working on her first feature-length documentary.
