BIOGRAPHIE

Sofia Ptacnik Rosas is a filmmaker born in Mexicali, Baja California. In 2014, she was admitted to study filmmaking in Centro de Capacitacion Cinematografica (CCC) in Mexico City, from which she got her degree in film direction with honorable mention in her professional exam. By 2018, Sofia had won a scholarship in Filmová a Televizní Fakulta (FAMU) to study a year in Prague. Her short film, “Cuando las hojas caen” (“When the leaves fall”) was selected in multiple festivals, and won second place at the Festival de cine de Ensenada (FENS).
