Emily Mennerdahl

BIOGRAPHIE

Emily Mennerdahl est une artiste photographe britannique et suédoise qui vit à Stockholm en Suède. Elle détient une maîtrise (avec mention d’honneur) en photographie de la Manchester School of Art à Manchester au Royaume-Uni, ainsi qu’une maîtrise en arts plastiques de l’Université Concordia à Montréal au Canada. Elle a participé au programme de cycle supérieur d’un an appelé The Independant Study Program à la Valand Academy à Gothenburg. Elle étudie actuellement The Photographic Artist Book au Royal Institute of Art à Stockholm (2018). Avant les débuts de Hillside Projects, Emily a pris part à des expositions et des résidences d’artiste en Suède et ailleurs, notamment à la Galerie Articule et à la galerie FOFA à Montréal, au Banff Centre, au Urbis Centre, etc. Emily s’intéresse particulièrement à l’enseignement et à l’écriture. À plusieurs occasions, elle a donné des cours de photographie au niveau du baccalauréat à la Manchester Metropolitan University en tant que chargée de cours invitée. Elle offre également des services de traduction et de révision (suédois et anglais) à des artistes et des professionnels du milieu. Emily Mennerdahl is a Swedish/British artist based in Stockholm, Sweden with a background in photography. She holds a BA (Hons) in Photography from Manchester School of Art in Manchester U.K and an MFA in Studio Arts from Concordia University in Montréal, Canada. She has taken part in the one-year post graduate program The Independant Study Program at Valand Academy in Gothenburg and is currently a student on The Photographic Artist Book at The Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm (2018). Prior to Hillside Projects, Emily has been included in exhibitions and residencies both in Sweden and internationally such as Galerie Articule and FOFA gallery in Montreal, The Banff Centre, Urbis Centre etc. Emily has a particular interest in teaching and writing and has taught on several occasions as a visiting associate lecturer on the BA Photography course at Manchester Metropolitan University and also offers proof reading and translation services (Swedish and English) for arts professionals and artists.
