BIOGRAPHIE

Self-taught filmmaker and literary studies graduate, Renaud Ouimet centers his work around deeply intimate and idiosyncratic characters with a searing thirst for truth. Addressing themes such as loneliness, psychological suffering and the search for the other, he mixes cinematographic genres to offer stories as vivid and complex as his characters. He has directed and produced all of his short films under his production company, La Neuvième, and his work has been presented in around fifteen countries, among others at Not Short On Talent (Cannes Festival), the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma and the Sulmona International Film Festival.
