Leandro Afonso is a director, screenwriter, producer, researcher and audiovisual teacher. Graduated [2004-08] in Social Communication – Radio and TV at State University of Santa Cruz (UESC) and master [2015-17] in Communication and Contemporary Culture at Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), where he's at his Doctorate degree [2021-25], part of which was done at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) [2024]. He served as a lecturer at Pontos MIS (Museum of Image and Sound -SP) [2018-19], a professor at the Cinema Institute (Instituto de Cinema –InC) [2017- 20] and at the International Cinema Academy (Academia Internacional de Cinema – AIC) [2016-2021], where he continues to teach online courses. He was also at the Federal University of Latin American Integration (UNILA) [2022-2024], where was a substitute professor and where he also served as co-coordinator of the Cineclube Cinelatino [2013-], a Film Society in which he continues as a collaborator.
