Kateřina Karhánková graduated from the Animation Department at FAMU, Prague. She is a director, screenwriter, animator and artist focuses on films for children. Her graduation film "New Species" was selected to Annecy 2014 and than presented at the MoMA in NYC. Her following film, "Tony and Mr. Illness", won several awards including the 2015 Gold Panda. In 2017 she made her next short film „Fruits of the Clouds“ which was nominated for the 2018 European Animation Awards, BAFTA 2018 and from the European Children's Film Association, they were awarded the Best Animated Film for Children at the Berlinale. Kateřina is also one of the directors of the animated television series Mlsné medvědí příběhy.
