Aaron Yeger is driven by an intense curiosity and commitment to exploring new ideas, which has garnered critical praise including a nomination for Producer of the Year by the Producers Guild of America in 2013 for the documentary A People Uncounted. This directorial debut filmed in 11 countries explores the untold history of the Roma in the Holocaust and their ongoing struggle for human rights—which Now Magazine gave four N’s and called “emotionally charged,” and The Village Voice called “profoundly unsettling and deeply moving.” He co-wrote and produced the critically acclaimed Sleeping Giant, which was nominated for the 2016 Canadian Screen Award for Best Feature Film, and played in TIFF Canada’s Top Ten following a premiere at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. Aaron directed the short film Unlicensed, made with the support of a grant from the Ontario Arts Council, and selected for CBC’s Canadian Reflections program in 2020 and released on CBC Gem.
