Janaina Wagner

BIOGRAPHIE

Graduate in fine arts and journalism, film teacher and holder of the Master in Experimentation in Arts and Politics - SPEAP (SciencesPo, directed by Bruno Latour), the conceptual point of Janaina's work are the relations of limit, control and contention that the human establishes with the world. Janaina Wagner develops her research in several media, such as video, photography, books, scenography and painting. She has participated in several artistic residencies - Curry Vavart (Paris, France), Pivô Pesquisa - Pivô (São Paulo, Brazil), Bolsa Pampulha (MG, Brazil), Red Bull Station (SP, Brazil), Casa Tomada (SP, Brazil) ), Anarcademia (W139, Amsterdam) and NES Skagaströnd, on the rural coast of Iceland. Among his main exhibitions are the solos Criatura, Oficina Cultural Oswald de Andrade (SP, Brazil) and Decupagem / Crônica de um anunciado final, MARP (SP, Brazil); and collectives Estado de Tração - Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo (SP, Brazil), Institution - Festival Hors Piste - Center Pompidou (Paris, France), With Burning Love - Villa Belleville (Paris, France), Permanences and Destruction - Torre H (RJ), Mágica - 13 VERBO Performance Festival - Galeria Vermelho (São Paulo, State of São Paulo), Hipótese e Horizonte - Observatório (SP), 4th edition of the EDP - Instituto Tomie Ohtake (SP). Janaina is currently at Le Fresnoy - National Studio of Contemporary Arts and lives between Roubaix and São Paulo.
