Born in Paris in 1995, Ambroise Rateau studied screenwriting at the Fémis (Série 2023 class). After several self-produced films, he directed his first short film with Punchline Cinéma: “Mort d'un Acteur”, starring Philippe Rebbot and Finnegan Oldfield. Winner of the France 2 Histoires courtes prize at the Paris Court Devant festival, the script is a dark comedy about false information and the excesses of digital technology. Placing the actor's work at the center, it cultivates a writing style that combines ferocity and sensitivity, tinged with absurdity and onirism.
