Sven Peetoom

BIOGRAPHIE

Sven Peetoom (1993) is an Indonesian-Dutch filmmaker from Rotterdam. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Film at Leiden University, Sven travelled to Denmark to attend the European Film College. There he studied Documentary Directing and after graduating received the Obel Scholarship for promising film students. In 2019 his fiction debut Samoeraai premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), which travelled to 20 festivals worldwide. In that year he also won the Filmkick and the Slag om de Schelde Pitch. Currently he’s working on various fiction films and a TV documentary.
