Daniel Slottje built his film career in New York City while completing his MFA in writing and directing at Columbia University. Slottje had a rare hormone disorder as an adolescent, which originally inspired him use storytelling as a personal outlet. These days, he aims to tell stories to help others feel less alone. With a passion for personal and socially conscious genre-storytelling, his work as a writer and director has screened at leading short and horror film festivals around the world, including Aspen ShortsFest, Palm Springs International ShortFest, Salem Horror Film Festival, and Screamfest Film Festival. These days, Daniel lives in Los Angeles with his rescue dog, Buoy, and works as an Executive Assistant to the Academy Award Shortlisted documentarian filmmakers, Matt Tyrnauer and Corey Reeser.
