A filmmaker graduated from Universidade Anhembi-Morumbi, she is a director and screenwriter. He improved with Caio Gullane, Lauro Escorel, in addition to studying Total Cinema at the Instituto Nacional de Cinema. She also trained as an actress at Teatro Célia Helena and completed her studies with Denise Stoklos, Luís Alberto de Abreu and J. C. Viola. He starred in the program “Glub Glub”, a great Brazilian success on Rede Cultura de Televisão, with more than 700 episodes. She trained as a cultural entrepreneur, studying marketing, third sector management and entrepreneurship, with certifications also by Sebrae. 14 years ago, he founded Umiharu Produções Culturais e Cinematográficas, where he creates, manages and carries out Cultural Projects of cause, which generate community interaction with the public, private and third sector, based on impact themes related to the SDGs – UN Sustainable Development Goals. Umiharu is part of the Brazil Network of the UN Global Compact and has partnerships in UN Women, UNHCR and Childhood Brasil Projects, among others. In 2019, Gisela wrote and directed the film MUNDO SEM POREIRA – a warning against the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents. The Documentary won the International Awards: Best Cinematography at the 4th Indian World Film and at the 8th Noida International Film Festival, in addition to being awarded the Jury's Honorable Mention at the 8th Delhi Shorts International Film Festival, in India. It was also a finalist for Best Direction at the Red Movie Awards, France, Best Short Doc at the Prisma Rome Independent Film Awards, Italy; and at the Children Care Film Festival, France. In 2021, Gisela wrote and directed A CURA TEM CARA, a series of documentary films for the health, well-being and mood of the population, consisting of a short film and 5 Film Pills, distributed to clinics, hospitals and laboratories, with an impact on more than 2.6 million people. She is the creator of Women Illuminating the World, a series of documentary films for women's empowerment and gender equality, released in 2021. Gisela signs the direction and script of the 37-minute film and 8 5-minute Film Pills, each . In addition, the Project, which is being launched, also has a Digital Ecosystem and has reached more than 6 million users. Gisela is already preparing the next Films of the Women Illuminating the World Series, expanding the theme to refugee and migrant women, among others.
