Robin Guimmara

BIOGRAPHIE

Director, screenwriter and director of photography, Robin Guimmara is a French director who came out of ESRA Paris top of his class in 2021. From a young age, he displayed a keen interest in storytelling and the world of cinema, probably because he watched Lord of the Rings when he was four (the whole trilogy). After graduating from high school, Robin pursued his passion for filmmaking by enrolling in ESRA Paris, leaving his town in the south of France for the capital. There, he studied film production and honed his skills as a director. During his time at the film school, he worked on numerous short film projects, collaborating with fellow students and gaining practical experience in various aspects of filmmaking. Nowadays, he continues to create his own short films, whether independently (RIVAL, JEUX DE MAINS, SEALED AWAY) or in collaboration, as with Oxfam for QUI VEUT GAGNER DES MILLIARDS ? in 2022 or the Maastricht Academy of Music for BY THE LIGHT in 2023. His influence includes Guillermo Del Toro, Robert Eggers, Tim Burton, Quentin Tarantino and David Fincher.
