BIOGRAPHIE

Kārlis Vītols is a self-taught animator and film director, he is also a painter and graphic artist, graduate of the Department of Painting at the Art Academy of Latvia (2003). Most of his films are accompanied by music created by himself. He is interested in mythology, archetypes and their manifestation and the role of consumers in contemporary society. Kārlis creates animation using various techniques both as separate works and as parts of art exhibitions. He always pays special attention to visual aesthetics of the film that satisfies his artistic vision.
