BIOGRAPHIE

Julián Córdoba is an Argentinian director and screenwriter currently based in Buenos Aires. He studied at the Center of Cinematographic Research (Centro de Investigación Cinematográfica) where he obtained his diploma with a specialization in directing. During his years as a student, he worked as a film critic for the website Revista Tiburon and A Sala Llena, one of the most important specialized magazines in Argentina. He also participated in the shooting of several feature films as a crew member, where he worked in the direction department with some of the most representative figures of Latin American cinema, such as Oscar Martínez (Wild Tales), Paulina García (Gloria) and Luis Gnecco (A Fantastic Woman). After college, he was selected to attend the Advanced Filmmaking Workshop at the National School of Film Experimentation and Filmmaking (ENERC). “So What”, his graduation short film, was awarded as best film at the Annual Arts Competition of the Buenos Aires’s Legislative Assembly. Since then, he has devoted himself to the audiovisual arts and developed his new short films "Asunto de Familia”, “Cas Fortuit" and “Port Inconnu”. Currently he is working on his next project, “Flashmob”.
