Paul Gallasch, 85', recently won the FOXTEL Australian Documentary Prize at the Sydney Film Festival (2012) and the F4 Award for ‘Outstanding New Documentary Talent’ at the Australian International Documentary Conference (2012) for his latest film Killing Anna. After growing up in Adelaide, Australia, Paul briefly studied Anthropology at The New School for Social Research before moving into a one year Documentary Filmmaking course at the New York Film Academy, which he completed in August of 2011. His films have been selected for several film festivals in the USA and Australia, including; Sydney Film Festival 2012, F4 (First Factual Film Festival) 2012, Bootleg Film Festival 2012, River's Edge International Film Festival 2011, Chagrin Documentary Film Festival 2011, Williamsburg Independent Film Festival 2011, SENE Film, Music and Art Festival 2011 and Reality Bytes Student Film Festival 2011. Paul is currently presenting his latest documentary Killing Anna to festivals around the world while we works on several projects; including; Foreign Country (a film that chronicles a 6000 mile hitchhiking trip through America's least visited states), and; Desert Science (a one hour documentary that studies the construction on the ALMA Telescope Array in the Atacama Desert in Northern Chile).
