BIOGRAPHIE

Rosario Brucato (Nicosia, Italy, 1983) is an indie writer-director, editor and producer. After a degree in Arts, Music and Performing Arts—with a thesis on Hitchcock—he shot the zero-budget short The Different Being (2017), later released on Prime Video. His follow-up The Vanishing Hitchhiker (2020) was finished between Santa Monica (CA) and Minnesota and secured U.S. distribution with Cineverse (Los Angeles), winning awards across California, New York, Texas, Oklahoma and Minnesota. With The Evil Brooch he advances a spiritual-psychological strain of horror, collaborating with Hollywood professionals including an Academy member and an Emmy Award winner.
