In my college, I have done a six months course in art appreciation. I used to watch world cinema. But, after understanding the art of the visual medium, I realized this is the vocation I should choose. According to me every step of learning in cinema is of utmost significance. I started with photography. I start reading. I start understanding the significance of the temporal, spatial, and psychological landscape of my character and how could I use color, light, brightness, darkness, saturation to enhance it. But still to name a phase of my learning journey would be the first time when I looked at life beyond the lenses. My first experience was as the Art Director for a short film where I visualized the screenplay as a collaborated piece of images filled with subtlety, colors and the entire Mise-en-scene following that, and this very experience of visualizing words as cinema holds the utmost significance in my cinema journey till date.
