Elizabeth Fraser

BIOGRAPHIE

Elizabeth Fraser is a Toronto and Los Angeles-based writer/producer, who used to go searching for unicorns as a child. When she grew up she decided to make films. Not about unicorns. But similarly fantastical things. Since unicorn-stalkers also need day-jobs, she cut her teeth in the industry as an assistant to lauded executive producers and showrunners on several independent films and two major Netflix original shows -- Tiny Pretty Things and Spinning Out. In 2018, Elizabeth founded dei gratia pictures. Under the dei gratia banner Elizabeth has developed, produced and executive produced several short form projects for female-driven creative teams and first-time filmmakers including ACCIDENTALS (Director: Natalie Novak) and Walter (Director: Glynnis Henderson-Grant). As a writer/director, dei gratia pictures released Elizabeth's first bleakly comedic short film The Help Desk and will shoot her follow-up My Afternoon With Anne Bronte in late 2020. Up next, she is executive producing a comedic digital series that she co-created, The King's Daughters and a web-based dramatic comedy for CBC Gem called Like Comment Subscribe. Elizabeth is a recent graduate of the Canadian Film Centre’s Cineplex Entertainment Film Program (Writers’ Lab), and in 2016 she attended the Reykjavik International Film Festival Talent Lab. Elizabeth also holds an MSt in Creative Writing from the University of Oxford.
