She graduated in Spanish Philology at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid. She did part of her PhD at the Humboldt University of Berlin with a german scholarship from the DAAD. She received another scholarship to study a Master of Film Directing in New York. On her return to Spain she founded the production company Rinoceronte Films. She directed the short fims "Anniversary" (2009) and "Encounter" (2010) and "Things in Common" (2011). Her first feature film is "As Old as the World".
