Maxime Demartin

BIOGRAPHIE

Maxime Demartin is a Belgian filmmaker & creative with a passion for storytelling based in Berlin. He holds a Master in International Relations and worked in the European Cultural field for several years before embracing an artistic career. He took part in a number of collaborative artistic residencies in Europe where he contributed to the creation of site-sensitive installations and performances. In 2018, he joined “le Laboratoire Urbain d’Interventions Temporaires (LUIT)” a theatre and research collective working in public space that questions collective practices and the commons. Maxime moved to Berlin in 2019 to join an intense one-year film-making course. The course fostered his passion for screenwriting, directing and colour grading. Maxime currently works on WILD ACCESS. A collaboration with dancer and choreographer Beatrix Joyce that explores the relationship between the body and architecture. “Fight Like a Girl” is Maxime’s debut narrative drama short film.
