Ho Li

BIOGRAPHIE

Li graduated from Bachelor of Business and Administration at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2014. His curiosity drove him to take Journalism and Communication as his minor study. He finished his first short film “Ridevolution” under the guidance of Dominica Siu, renowned former Producer of “Hong Kong Connection” of RTHK. The film was selected in the 1st Ground Up Student Film Festival. After his graduation, he commenced his filming career as an Assistant Director at TVB in 2016 and RTHK in 2017 respectively. He completed well-known TV series including “Below The Lion Rock 2017” and “A Wall-less World 6”. With his dedication to films , he continued to create his own works beyond his full-time working hours. In 2018, “It is not a Tomato”, his debut work as both scriptwriter and director, led the awards in 13th Golden Sugarcane Film Festival (Taiwan), winning four prizes including Best Screenplay. In 2019, he filmed “Taste of Tomato” for 13th Fresh Wave Short Film Festival. Li also finished “One Stall, Two Species” commissioned by Next Digital, in the same year. In 2021, he was one of the contestants in the 8th Microfilm Production Support Scheme (Tier 1). His work “Lost Pearl” won Best Microfilm Production - Bronze Award, Best Actor - Silver Award, and Best Cinematography. His first feature film proposal “Beyond the Waves” entered Hong Kong – Asia Film Financing Forum Filmlab 2021. Filming a feature-length story is one of Li’s career goals, so as to capture moments and authentic sentiments of people living in the era.
