BIOGRAPHIE

Born in Luxembourg to Iranian parents, Kiyan Agadjani grew up surrounded by different languages, cultures and arts. After years of piano and music theory studies, he discovered his love for the silver screen. In 2016, he was part of the Youth Jury at the Luxembourg City FilmFest as well as the international jury of the Giornate Degli Autori during the 73rd Venice Film Festival. Soon after he started writing, directing and working on various short and feature film projects in Luxembourg, France, the UK and Czech Republic. He moved to the UK in 2018, where he started his cinema studies and continued making films. In 2020, he became the Head of Film department at Kent Television, where he oversaw the production of local student films. In 2021, his short film DEFINING LEIFT won the second prize for “Best Film” at Crème Fraîche in Luxembourg. Soon after, he started production on GEORGE BARTON, his most extensive and personal project to date. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Film with Honors and received the university award for “Best Writing in Film”. Today, Kiyan continues to tell the stories that matter to him – the little stories of society for the big screens of cinema.
